The latest community project was in Katoto. The village is located north of the camp and has about 80-130 inhabitants. Group 4 decided to focus on health and the idea about a shower and a water tap came to life. This way the locals don’t have to collect water all the way down from the lake and they can have a private shower instead of some quick washing by the lake.

A small dam was made in a creek nearby and the clean water is led to the shower and tap in a pvc pipe. The women of the village were truly happy about the result and gave the girls from group 4 some rice as a token of their appreciation. Katoto is the only village in a radius of 18 km with a shower and tap water.
